About FaB Insights
My name is Tiziano [titˈtsjaːno] and I am a FaB player (and researcher) based in the lovely city of Trieste, Italy. After completing a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience I decided to pursue a career in Data Science, but my passion for doing research and publishing papers never faded.
One evening in 2024 I was looking for some data to have fun with, until I stumbled across the wonderful matchup matrix on Fabrary. Since I already knew a few tricks for analyzing such matrices, I started running some quick tests… and next thing I knew, it was 3 a.m. I couldn’t stop. The first article (originally published on Medium), got more attention than I expected. So, with support from my amazing girlfriend and my friend Dave, I decided to turn this into something more consistent. That’s how FaB Insights was born.

Since then, the project has grown. I’ve had the opportunity to connect and collaborate with the brilliant folks behind Talishar.net, the main fan-made online testing platform for Flesh and Blood. Their support and openness made this work possible.
What will you find here?
The goal of this project is to empower players with deeper understanding of the meta, hero interactions, and everything we can uncover through advanced statistical analysis of Talishar data. Sometimes I go even further, running around events to gather survey data and explore the social dynamics of the community.
Whether you’re new to Flesh and Blood or a seasoned competitor, this site aims to deliver actionable insights to help you make better decisions, adapt to the meta, and sharpen your edge.
And because I believe in having skin in the game, the decks I bring to competitive events are grounded in these stats.
Of course, no amount of analysis can replace real testing and preparation, but having a clear strategy and strong positioning in the meta can give you that extra edge.
Thanks for being here and hope to see you around the world!
